@see offers innumerable options for being mobile. Whether by bicycle, car, boat or train, the region has excellent transport links to all major places in the area.
Public transport serves the needs of the @see region well. You can reach central Berlin in just 45 minutes with the regional express RE1. Other rail connections to Bad Saarow, Storkow, Wendisch Rietz, and the Odervorland office plus the extensive bus network put every corner of the region in reach.
@see provides cyclists a good network of trails to get you to and from work and for a relaxed day out on two wheels. The region is served by national cycling trails such as the Oder-Spree Tour and also offers some great, affordable options for everyday commuting.
The @see region has a very well developed road network, including the A12 and A10 motorways, making it possible to reach Berlin and its airports in half an hour by car.
The @see region places a great emphasis on increasing family mobility with family-friendly transport infrastructure, including extending cycling paths with family-oriented safety and other designs.
Age-appropriate road traffic systems suitable for children, easily accessible stops for public transport, and residential streets with traffic restrictions or full bans on vehicular traffic help keep your family safe @see.
Every corner of the @see region is no more than 50 km from the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport (BER) (and sometimes closer). The A12 (E30) and A10 (Berlin Ring) make the Berlin-Brandenburg airport, the state capital of Potsdam, and the centre of Berlin all reachable by car in half an hour, more or less. A growing network of Park & Ride car parks are helping to improve links between rail and car traffic.
The mobility-impaired are well looked after in the region. Accessibility is more than just a keyword here. In particular, the disability advisory board of the city of Fürstenwalde and the AG “people with disabilities” of Local Agenda 21 in Fürstenwalde are strongly committed to a barrier-free urban development in Fürstenwalde. Much has been achieved, but to achieve the barrier-free city, a lot of effort and cooperation is still required!”
Peter Apitz, Sprecher der Lokalen Agenda 21
Cycling is enjoying a growing popularity in the region. It is not only fun, but also keeps you fit and healthy as you make your way to work every day. In addition, you have complete flexibility in travel times and can sometimes reach your destination quicker than with other means of transport. That’s why cities are increasing their investments in good cycling infrastructure.
